A very big “Thank You!” from the ACRVR Blueprint Community to all the volunteers and sponsors who made our Winter Prep Party a success! On Saturday, November 9th, more than two dozen volunteers braved the chilly temps to clean and beautify the bike trail heads and town centers, picking up trash, removing weeds and overgrown plants, and making sure our community sparkle, just in time for our first proper snowfall!
The event kicked off in Emlenton at 10 AM at the Allegheny River Trail bike trail-head then moved to Foxburg at 11 AM, then down river to Parker at 12 PM. Volunteers and Core Team members then enjoyed a wrap-up party at 1 PM in Parker.

The ACRVRBC would especially like to recognize the generosity of the sponsors who donated time, funds, supplies or raffle prizes to the event: the Allegheny Grille, Divani Chocolatier, Farmer’s National Bank, Linmas Drugs, McNany Lumber, Otto’s Tavern, Ricci Hardt, and Sandra Jackson Photography. Many thanks also to Staab Typographic for printing our event posters, and to the great folks at the Emlenton Subway for a delicious array of wraps and sandwiches!

Finally, the Blueprint Community would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to one volunteer who went above and beyond, lending a hand with the clean-up in all three towns. You would hate it if we said your name, but you know who you are – our MVP of the day!

Thank you, so very much, to everyone, and we look forward to even bigger, better events in future.

Anyone who would like to be part of the Blueprint Community Initiative is welcome to contact us at 724-264-5772 or info@acrivervalley.org.

The next Blueprint meeting will be held at 5 pm on November 20th at Bob’s Place in Parker.
