Many of humanity’s greatest accomplishments were inspired by the necessity of the moment during times of strife and stress.  When crisis strikes, responsibility and inspiration tend to join forces, moving us forward.  When old ways no longer work, we find new ways to do what needs to be done.  As I take on the role of Redevelopment Manager for the Oil Heritage Region and its surrounds, I look forward to celebrating the fortitude, ingenuity, and resolve of the people of our region as we work to provide a healthy and prosperous future for our families and our communities.

In the coming months I will be highlighting stories of local redevelopment in agriculture, industry, education, and everything in between.  And while I know some of these stories already, I know there are many others out there, just waiting to be told.  If you are actively working to adapt your business, service, or program, please reach out and share your experience with the community.  I can be reached at spedi@oilregion.org and I will be at Divani Chocolatier in Foxburg (masks required) every Friday from 1-3.  I look forward to talking with you, and to sharing the successes and lessons learned from our journey together into our next new normal.
